Mr. Walker was a Baptist and married to Jean Walker for 43 years. He was well known in the tool and die industry as the founder and former president of Con-Form Industries, Inc. His knowledge of the business and dedication to his customers, set him apart. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.

Mrs. Wallis was a homemaker and the oldest member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she had been a member for more than 75 years. She was involved in the senior citizens activities at the church and also handled all of the greeting cards for her Sunday school class. She was a member of the Natchez Trace Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isom Wallis; two infant sons; a son-in-law, Clifton Wages; her parents, Samuel and Verna Epting Snell; a brother, Howard Snell; and four sisters, Hala Palmer, Laura Lesley, Anna Agnew and Emma Phillips.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Wallis Wages of Baldwyn and Carolyn Wallis Jones and husband Buddy of Booneville; three sons, Neal Wallis and wife Dale, and Thomas L. Services were Thursday, Dec. 27, at 1 p.m. at Oak Hill M.B. Church in Booneville with the Rev. Houston Owens officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Patterson Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Welch cleaned houses throughout her life. She loved her flowers and gardening and always had a beautiful flower bed and garden. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Shirley and Louis Williams of Rienzi and Beatrice and Luther Hall of Booneville; a brother and sister-in-law, James Otis and Helen Grizzard of Booneville; a host of grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were her grandsons. Flower bearers were her granddaughters and great-granddaughter.

In the death of K. W. Wheeler last Saturday morning, the county lost one of its oldest citizens. He had been in failing health for several months.
Mr. Wheeler was born in Cleburne County, Alabama, near Heflin on 1 June 1848 and for the past 46 years had lived in the same house, about 5 miles east of Booneville. He had been a farmer and was much interested in the development of his community along various lines. He had many friends who will greatly miss him in their every day lives. His wife Mrs. Ann Denson Wheeler passed away about 22 years ago. He had been a faithful and consistent member of the Methodist Church for 70 years.
He is survived by four sons, Tom, Ben and Allen of this county and Joe of San Bernardina, California, one daughter, Mrs. Rosie Williams, lives near Burnsville. He leaves 28 grand-children and 45 great-grandchildren. He has 4 grandsons in the U.S. Armed Forces Pvt. Blake Wheeler, Camp Shelby; Pvt. Varnard Wheeler and Pvt. Funeral services for Mrs. Ora Wheeler, 74, of Tuscumbia, Ala., were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Brother Elwyn McCutchins officiated.

IUKA - Iuka Police Chief Floyd Whitaker died Friday at Humana Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Ala., after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Whitaker, 40, had spent much of his life in law enforcement.
Flags at Iuka City Hall and the Iuka Post Office were flying a half staff Friday in honor of the town's top lawman.
Whitaker was elected to a second term as police chief during an election in June. Voters gave Whitaker a landslide victory in the primary election when he received more than 600 votes more than the next candidate in the three-man field.
Before becoming police chief, Whitaker served as Iuka fire chief and as a Tishomingo County constable.
Iuka Mayor David Nichols, who described Whitaker as a friend, said, "I respected him highly and enjoyed working with him. He will be missed here at city hall."
Nichols said Whitaker thoroughly enjoyed police work.
Assistant Police Chief Robert Till will serve as acting chief until the Iuka Board of Aldermen meets Tuesday, Nichols said. Nichols said Till probably will continue in that role until a special election is called sometime in February. Three and a one-half years remain in the unexpired term.

Bro. Wiginton was a retired State of Mississippi employee and farmer. He was a minister for 55 years and a member of the Church of God. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #412. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the mother of his children, Lillian Gray Wiginton; and two daughters, Lilla Faye and Sylvia Ann Wiginton.
He is survived by his wife, Estella Tucker Wiginton; one daughter, Quay Kares and her husband, Deno, of Savannah, Tenn.; three sons, R.B. BOONEVILLE - Howard Wiginton, 77, died Monday at the Baptist Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. He was a retired employee of Westinghouse Corp. of Vicksburg, a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion. He was a member of the Methodist church.
